THE END with score by JOSHUA SCHMIDT premieres at Telluride
THE END, directed by Joshua Oppenheimer and with songs and score by JOSHUA SCHMIDT got its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival on 31 August. Oppenheimer's ground-breaking homage to the golden age musical is set in a post-apocalyptic world and revolves around the last human family who have survived a devastating environmental disaster. From Telluride the film headed off to the Toronto Film Festival and then goes on to the San Sebastian International Film Festival for its European premiere where it's selected for the main competition. The London Film Festival follows in October. Tilda Swinton, George MacKay and Michael Shannon star, NEON distributes and MUBI have acquired the rights for the UK, Germany and Austria.
